One of these lucky ladies will be chosen as Miss Winchester and Little Miss Winchester Saturday evening during the Miss Winchester Pageant, which will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday night in front of the beautiful Scott County Courthouse. The Pageant is part of the Winchester American Legion Post 442 Race with the Veteran’s event which will take place this Saturday, Aug. 21. Race with the Veterans is an 11 mile bike, run or walk to raise awareness for suicide prevention. Sign in will be at 7 a.m. on the Winchester Square with the race beginning at 8 a.m. A full day of events will follow including a cornhole tournament in front of the Legion at 2 p.m. with the Legion serving up pulled pork and other items. Isiah Christian will be providing musical entertainment beginning at 7 p.m. For the kids, there will be bounce houses on the square and there will be vendors set up around the square as well. There will also be library bricks for sale. The Kiwanis and Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will have lunch for sale on the square serving up pork chops, hot dogs and brats.
