After more than a year of planning the Bluffs Sesquicentennial Committee will see the fruits of its labor this weekend.
Kettle service for the burgoo starts at 7 a.m. and to work off all that deliciousness, a 5K will be held at 7:30, starting near the pavilion. Bowl service will begin at noon at the Legion Building.
Parade staging is at 9 a.m. and will start at 10 a.m. Rt. 100 through town will be closed for the parade.
At 11 a.m., the Little Mr and Miss candidates will be introduced on stage. Crowning will be at 1 p.m.

Janet Jones will take the stage at noon.
The beard contest will be held at 1:30 p.m. on stage and Isiah Christian will follow at 2 p.m. The pigtail contest will be at 3 p.m. followed by the winners being announced at 3:30 p.m.
Robert Sampson will be on stage at 4 p.m.
The Miss and Junior Miss will answer questions at 5 p.m. and the crowning for both pageants will begin at 6 p.m.
Harmony Grits will entertain from 7-9 p.m.
Raffle winners will be announced at 9 p.m.
There will be rides, games, turtle races, sack races, a duck pond, ring toss, fish pond and airplanes throughout the day.
Events at the library include a baking contest and a pie contest starting at 2 p.m. The school will be open for tours and the senior building will have mind trap.
There will be water balloons at Bicknells on Sunday, the worship service will start at 10:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at the pavilion from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A gospel sing will start at 1 p.m.
