COVID-19 cases continue to rise in the county.
Since its last report on Friday, Aug. 12, Pike County Health Department (PCHD) has been notified
of 46 new Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Pike County.

PCHD has also been notified of 3 new COVID-19 related deaths in Pike County.

A total of 2,199 COVID-19, lab confirmed and probable cases in Pike County residents
have been reported to PCHD. Of those, 86 cases are active, with 7 being hospitalized and
60 COVID-19 related deaths reported.
A probable case is defined as a direct household contact of a lab confirmed positive case
who is exhibiting the same symptoms.
Residents are encouraged to take all applicable precautions to stop the spread of COVID-19. Eligible residents are also encouraged to get vaccinated against the virus.
