• FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL – ELEMENTARY

The first day of attendance for students in elementary (Grades Kindergarten – 4th) is Friday, August 20th at 8:25 a.m. Students arriving between 7:45 – 8:00 will be supervised in a socially distanced location. Students arriving after 8:00am will report to classrooms.

ν If you have a child who will be 3 or 4 years old by September 1, 2021 that you would like screened for pre-kindergarten or early childhood placement for the fall of 2021, please call (618) 498-5561 ext. 5 for an appointment.
• The Tri-County Antique Club
The Tri-County Antique Club will be holding their annual fundraising event on August 28 and 29, 2021 located at 23946 State Highway 3 in Dow, IL. The Olden Days schedule of events consists of thrashing, sawmilling, tractor pulls, pedal pulls, tractor and engine displays, Apple Pie Baking Contest and many more events. Live entertainment will take place each day. Breakfast will be served each day beginning at 7:00 am until 10:00 am. Sandwiches and fresh baked pies will be served on both days. Raffle tickets for a John Deere Pedal tractor, handmade quilt, handmade pottery item, gift certificates for Farm and Home, Sinclair’s and a Melaleuca Gift basket will be sold. Thurs – 8/26/21 6pm – City Center Park The Ladies of Shop the 618 bring back a little nostalgia with a Community Bingo.
Fri – 8/27/21 8pm – City Center Park The Stadium Theater Hosts its first Movie in the Park. Come see one of your favorites on a big screen.
Sat – 8/28/21 All Day! – Shop The 618 Event Retailers have banded together to promote and Highlight all that our shopping community has to offer.
