Although the picnic for this year is over, Blessed Trinity Parish is still having their online auction beginning Sept. 1. All items will be on their Blessed Trinity Parish Picnics – 2021 Facebook page.
“We decided to do the auction this year because of the numerous and much appreciated donations we received. Uncertain times had us thinking outside of the box a little. Prior to knowing if we were even going to have dinner or not, we wanted to try to maximize the income we would receive,” Lynnette Macauley, committee chairman, said. “With all the donations, we not only had enough to do our raffle, but add the auction as well. So this is uncharted waters for us. Never before have we had an online auction as part of our picnic offerings.”
The auction items will be posted on their Facebook group, Blessed Trinity Parish Picnics – 2021, beginning Sept. 1. There should be plenty of time to log in and see the items before bidding ends on Monday, Sept. 6 at noon. Then from 1- 4 p.m., winning bidders can pick up items at St. Mary’s Hall in Brussels. Macauley explained items will not be shipped, so if the winning bidder is selected, they must make arrangements to pick up their prize. If not that day, then they can contact the church office.
“To make it more convenient, Venmo can be utilized as a form of payment. Our raffle prizes will also be drawn at noon. Top prize is $2000,” Macauley said. “Tickets can be purchased at the banks in Brussels, Red & White, the church office or you can contact our page and we will fill out the tickets for you.”
“Without all the generosity from our surrounding businesses and parishioners, the raffle and auction wouldn’t be possible, “Macauley said.
