Registration is now open to all residents who wish to attend the annual Veterans Ball to be held at the American Legion in Winchester on Nov. 13.
All veterans, family members of veterans, and residents who want to attend the ball to support veterans are encouraged to make reservations for the Veterans Ball.
Activities at the ball include dinner, cake and dancing. In addition, a roast, toasts and photos by Amanda Vortman, as well as a photo booth will all take place.
A signature Veterans Ball grogg will also be available.
Because the event honors all veterans, the ball is filled with mixed traditions from all the service branches.
While the intent of the Veterans Ball is to celebrate veterans, the Legion welcomes anyone who wants to support veterans of the armed forces.
The Veterans Ball is a formal occasion. Veterans are encouraged to wear their dress uniforms. Veterans who do not wish to wear their dress uniforms and non-veterans are required to wear suits, and formal wear for women is appropriate.
Polo shirts, T-shirts, jeans, or khaki type clothing are not allowed.
