Ryan Moore ran for 195 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead West Central to a 40-0 Homecoming win against Calhoun Sept. 10 at Winchester.
The Cougars (3-0) host Pleasant Hill (0-3) Friday at 7 p.m.
Neither team scored in the first quarter, but West Central broke through with three touchdowns in the second.
West Central committed two penalties and was forced to punt on its first possession. The Cougars had to ball first-and-10 from the Calhoun 40-yard line on its second possession after forcing the Warriors to punt.
The Cougars needed 10 plays, and Chance Little scored on a 4-yard run with 10:32 remaining in the second quarter. Lathan Barnett ran for the conversion, and West Central led 8-0.
Little had an 8-yard run earlier in the possession on fourth-and-4 earlier in the possession.
West Central’s defense stopped Calhoun on a fourth-and-2, and the Cougars took over on its own 37-yard line.

Moore had a 17-yard run, and Barnett had a 12-yard run as West Central moved to the 3-yard line. After a penalty against Calhoun, Barnett gained 1-yard run but fumbled. Mason Berry recovered the fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. Tyson Brown ran for the conversion to extend the lead to 16-0.
Berry intercepted a pass on Calhoun’s first play from scrimmage as West Central regained possession.
Parker Hoots and Brown hooked up on a 10-yard pass play, and Moore had a 23-yard run. Barnett capped off the drive with a 9-yard run and ran for the conversion to make the score 24-0 with 23 seconds remaining in the first half.

West Central drove 65 yards in six plays on its first possession of the second half. Moore and Barnett combined to run for 64 yards with Brown converting a four-and-1 with a 1-yard run. Moore scored on a 33-yard run on the next play. Brown ran for the conversion, and West Central led 32-0 with 9:23 remaining in the third quarter.
The Warriors had a fourth-and-2 later in the quarter. Landon Barnett took the ball away from the runner, and West Central had a first down at its own 47-yard line.
Moore had a 25-yard run, Lathan Barnett ran for 11 yards and Moore finished the drive with a 17-yard run. Barnett ran for the conversion to make the score 40-0 with 2:53 remaining in the third quarter.
Calhoun finished with five first downs and 100 yards of total offense. The Warriors rushed for 94 yards on 37 attempts. They completed one of three passes for six yards.
The Cougars gained 337 yards of offense with 323 coming on the ground on 43 attempts. They finished with 21 first downs.
Moore rushed for 195 yards on 11 attempts. Barnett rushed for 100 yards on 19 attempts. Little rushed for 26 yards on eight attempts.
Brown completed two of five passes for 14 yards. Hoots caught one pass for 10 yards, and Moore caught one for four yards.
Moore and Jackson Ford each had nine tackles to lead West Central’s defense. Landon Barnett had eight tackles and recovered a fumble. Lathan Barnett had seven tackles.
