Greenfield High students went out into the community Friday morning doling out community service duties. This is a way to give back to the area churches and businesses, especially on a day where homecoming festivities make it hard to concentrate in the classroom. Dylan Pembrook and Griffin Roberts hang a banner for the city at Rives Lake in preparation of the BBQ at the Lake which was held on September 11. Other students did weed eating, cleaning, painting and moved things around at the lake. They also washed fire trucks and police cars for the city of Greenfield.

Kellen Bowman (far left), Gavin Hoyt, Greenfield High teacher Jeri Brown, and Dawson Malin discuss some of the intricate items they saw in Oakwood Cemetery north of Greenfield while picking up trash and tidying up the graves during community service day at Greenfield High School on Friday, September 10. The high school students perform community service every year around the area on the morning of the homecoming football game. It is a way for the school and students to give back to the community for their support of the schools in Greenfield.
