The Pittsfield Rotary will sponsor Howl-O-Ween dog walk and costume contest to raise funds for the new dog park.
The event will be Saturday, Oct. 23 at 9 a.m. at King Park’s north pavilion, near the proposed dog park.
Registrations must be received by Oct. 1 to ensure your t-shirt size and availability.
One adult with a dog is $25, additional t-shirts are $15 and additional dogs are $5. Preschool children are free.
The costume contest will begin at 9 a.m. with first though third place prizes. Awards will be given for Best Owner/Dog Matching Costume and Best Group Costume. The fun walk will begin immediately after. Dogs must be leashed at all times.

The park will be located at the old King Park tennis courts and is a joint project between the Rotary Club of Pike County, Picture Pittsfield and the City of Pittsfield. Preliminary work as began with a few loads of fill dirt being hauled to the site.
