• Jersey Community High School(JCHS) was on the move this past weekend. The JCHS
• Varsity Football beat Lincoln 32-16 in their home opener.
• JCHS Cross Country competed in the First to the Finish meet in Peoria this weekend. For the second week in a row, Cole Martinez ran a personal best (16:12) in the 2A race and placed 26th out of 500 runners. Griffin Williams, Zane Peterbaugh and Abby Fraley ran season best times.
• JCHS girls varsity volleyball team for their 2nd Place finish in the EA/WR Tournament! The Lady Panthers had a great Saturday and – after a hard fought, close scoring final match – took home 2nd Place.
• JV volleyball went 1-3 in the Waterloo Tournament.
• JCHS Marching Panthers were a part of the 9/11 20th anniversary ceremony in Grafton. We are grateful for the efforts of all our first responders.
• JCMS Panthers Softball bats were alive today in the Edwardsville Regional Semifinal. They defeated Roxana 13-6 and will advance to the championship vs Edwardsville On Tuesday.
• Three JCHS groups performed at the Calhoun County Fair on Sunday. The crowd truly enjoyed the sounds of Jazz Combo and Jazz Ensemble. The Show Choir, performing songs from Jersey Boys, were “just too good to be true.”
