Angeline M. Siemer, 99, passed away the morning of September 15, 2021 at Jerseyville Manor in Jerseyville, IL.
She was born on August 17, 1922 in Meppen, IL, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Hoemmen) Droege.
Angeline married Paul H. Siemer at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Meppen, IL on October 28, 1943. Paul passed away on May 11, 2001.
She was a homemaker and loved spending time with family. She also enjoyed playing cards and working in her many flower beds.
Angeline was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Meppen and a member of St. Joseph’s Altar Sodality. She was also active with the St. Joseph’s Church quilters, the church choir, and the Koinonia.
She is survived by three daughters – Paulette and the late Vincent Pohlman of O’Fallon, MO, Carol and Roger Roentz of Grafton, IL, and Beverly and Bill Haug of Godfrey, IL; eight grandchildren – Paul Pohlman, Elaine Edwards, Angie Brown, Randy Roentz, Raymond Roentz, Aaron Haug, Jared Haug, and Tara Tobin; and seventeen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul and nine siblings.
Visitation was from 4 – 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021 at Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Brussels, IL.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Meppen with Fr. Don Roberts as celebrant.
Burial followed at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Meppen.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Cemetery, St. Mary’s School, or family choice.
