On Monday, Sept. 13, Calhoun lost to Carrollton.
“We had a hard loss to Carrollton. Not sure if it was nerves playing against a rival team or tired from the fair, but we definitely didn’t play well,” Head Coach Melissa Zipprich said. “We lost in two, 22-25 and 20-25.”
Zipprich provided these top stats for Monday’s game:
Aces:
– McKenzie Baalman, 2.
– Josie Hoagland, 2.

– Audrey Gilman, 5.
– Joy Hurley, Lacy Pohlman and Maddie Buchanan, 3 each.

Then on Tuesday, Sept. 14, Calhoun won against Triopia in two, 25-15 and 25-19.
“The girls played very well,” Zipprich said. “The Lady Warriors had shaken off Monday’s loss and easily beat Triopia in two, 25-15 and 25-19,”
