Lots of work going on in Kampsville this week. The county highway department has been up here doing some much needed repairing and fixing on the roads here in town.
Also our Kampsville Ferry Landing is coming along and is scheduled to be opened by September 30.
Plans are underway for Old Settlers Days October 9 and 10. Always one of our favorite weekends here in Kampsville.
We are so excited about our second annual Scarecrow Contest. Get in the spirit and get those yards decorated for the fall. You must enter ahead of time before October 8. Judging will be Thursday October 14. Anyone wanting to enter please contact Glenda Sidwell either by Facebook or phone. She is heading this up. Can’t wait to see all of the fun decorations.
The Lite It Up Kampsville Committee will be drawing for their Christmas Quilt Raffle Old Settlers Weekend. The quilt is currently on display at the Pavilion. It is absolutely beautiful; it was donated by Pat Gotway.
St. Norbert’s will be having their 5th Annual Duck Race on Saturday October 3 at the riverfront in Hardin. Beginning at 10:30 a.m., Ducks will be dropped from the bridge approximately 3 o’clock.
Be sure to purchase your duck you don’t want to miss out.
Judy Benz hosted the Annual East Panther Creek Reunion at her house this past Saturday the 18. They enjoyed a fish fry and lots of visiting.
