It was all Carrollton last Friday night as the North Greene Spartans played host to the Carrollton Hawks. Prior to the game, the Spartans honored local law enforcement by having them come out onto the field. The Hawks struck quickly, and consistently, scoring on their first possession and just about every possession thereafter, including a few of North Greene’s via a turnover or interception. The score was 42-0 at halftime. Carrollton put in their JV team for the second half but not before Carrollton senior, Harley Angel, broke a 20-year school record for rushing with 204 yards in only two quarters. The previous record was established by Chad Flowers in 2001 with 195 yards. Final score was 57-6.

This is one of those plays that you had to see to believe. A pass play, intended for North Greene’s Carlo Bojens, was broken up by Carrollton’s Max Arnett. Arnett bobbled the ball, but ended up catching it before it hit the ground for an interception.
