According to the latest COVID-19 data released by the Scott County Health Department (SCHD) on Monday, COVID-19 cases in Scott County continue to be on the decline after spiking in August. On Aug. 9, according to the data released by SCHD, there were 40 active COVID-19 cases. The latest data released by the department shows that there are currently only six active cases in the county. An additional seven residents are in quarantine, after having been exposed to the virus. SCHD continues to provide Moderna COVID-19 vaccine clinics each Friday at the department’s office. Residents with questions about the vaccine clinics are encouraged to call SCHD at 217-742-8203.
