The Pike County Sheriff’s Department has announced several convictions in Pike County for various offenses related to the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act.
Sheriff David Greenwood said his office has and will continue to aggressively monitor all registered sex offenders in Pike County.
“The number of registered sex offenders is probably higher than it has been,” Greenwood said. “We will continue to make sure these offenders stay compliant.”
The following people have been charged and convicted in Pike County this year:
Feb. 17, Jane M. Milner, 50, of Nebo, was arrested on a charge of violation of the sex offender registration act. Milner pled guilty Aug. 24 to the offense and received 24 months conditional discharge and fines.

Jason M. Rennecker, 37, of Griggsville was arrested on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender May 18. June 1, Rennecker pled guilty in Pike County Circuit Court to the offense and received 24 months-probation, 90 days jail, and fines.
Verle E. Gibson, 42, Pearl, was arrested on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender on Jan. 27. Aug. 24 Gibson pled guilty and was sentenced to five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and fines.
Roy L. Irick, 67, Hull, was arrested on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender Oct. 23. On Sept. 14, Irick pled guilty and was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by conditional discharge and fines.
Walter W. Lynn, 46, Pittsfield, was arrested Dec. 22 on a charge of violation of the sex offender registration act. June 1, Lynn pled guilty and was sentenced to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and fines.

Patrick TD Cantwell 25, of Pleasant Hill, Illinois was arrested Feb. 7 on a charge of violation of the sex offender registration act. Sept.9, Cantwell pled guilty and was sentenced to 5 ½ years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and fines.
Gary L. Oberdahlhoff, 51, Nebo, was arrested Oct. 28, 2020,on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender. Sept. 14 Oberdahlhoff pled guilty and was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and fines.
