Johnny Picone, son of Dr. John and Daloris Picone, rural Nebo, continues his streak of success in trap shooting with several wins over the summer.
Johnny Picone, 15-year-old son of Dr. John and Daloris Picone, had a successful season of competing in registered trap events over the summer.
He started off the season winning the Illinois AIM state singles trap championship for his age division in June.
Next stop was the Missouri Handicap Single Trap Championship in early July where he shot a perfect 200 out of 200.
Later in the month, Picone won the Class Singles Championship, the Zone Singles Championship, High-Over-All Around Champion and High All-Around shooter for his age division at the Central Zone Shoot, which is comprised of several states and two Canadian Provinces.
During the month of August, he competed at the Grand American World Trapshooting Championship in Sparta where he scored two more trophies.
