After over three years, the new Calhoun Medical Center is soon to become a reality.
Foreman Mike Newby for Morrissey Construction Company in Godfrey is hoping to finish the facility by Tuesday, Oct. 15. Then, the doctors can begin moving in following that date.
The grounds still need to be given its final grade, seeded and strawed.
The straw will be stabilized by discing.
Both upper and lower parking lots will be striped to accommodate between 45-50 cars overall, including a section for the handicapped.
The lower level will house dentist Dr. Robert Parish. His office is still under construction.

Lt. Orville Snow flew here from Paris, France last week on a 45-day leave.
He came over in a large army transport plane, acting as navigator in order to get immediate passage home to be with his mother, Mrs. Olin Snow of Hardin, who has been ill.
He was held up by a storm in passing over the Atlantic and had to stop over at the Azores for a day and a half.
Mrs. Snow was removed from her home to Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Monday, for observation and medical treatment.
Mrs. Snow’s many friends hope she will soon be back home much improved in health.
