Lady Hawks fall to EA-WR Oilers

The Carrollton Lady Hawk volleyball team played host to the East Alton/Wood River Lady Oilers Monday night and split games with the Lady Oilers with the JV team defeating the Lady Oilers in straight sets and the Varsity Lady Hawks falling in straight sets.
The Lady Hawks came into the game with a 5-10 record going up against the Lady Oilers with a record of 10-14.
After losing the first set 12-25, the Lady Hawks came back in the second set strong, building up a good lead, only to see the Lady Oilers come back and tie the game at 13 all.
The Lady Oilers then took the lead with three straight points to take the lead 16-13. But when the Lady Hawks got the ball back in the hands of Graci Albrecht to serve, her five-straight service points put the Lady Hawks back on top. 18-16.
But when the Lady Oilers got the ball back, they put six straight points on the board to once again take the lead 22-18 over the Lady Hawks.
The Lady Hawks would put up one more point on the to make the score 25-19 to give the Lady Oilers the win in straight sets.
The Lady Hawks will play host to Griggsville-Perry Thursday night.
