The North Greene Knights heavyweight team played their final game of the season on their home turf Sunday afternoon against the Jacksonville Jr. Irish winning in overtime 13-12. The game took place after the Knights officially dedicated their field to the founder of the North Greene Knights, Roger Allen, who took out a bank loan to start the junior football league in 1985. A ceremony was held between the lightweight and heavyweight games.

North Greene’s Landon Gilmore was a force to be reckoned with Sunday afternoon refusing to go down after being tackled on several occasions without the aid of three or four Jr. Irish tacklers. Gilmore scooted around this tackler and gained several more yards before finally being brought down.
