The St. James Episcopal Church is closing its doors. There will be a final service on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 10 a.m. Representatives from the Diocese of Chicago will be performing the service. After the service, there will be refreshments and fellowship. All are welcome.
The Griggsville-Perry Christmas Basket Program is looking for anyone interested in adopting a child or family for Christmas this year. A Shoebox Sing-A-Long Concert and Hymn Sing will be held at the Griggsville United Methodist Church Saturday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. The concert will feature Cleve and Susan Curry, Rodney Gordley, and the Henthorn Chicks and will be a fundraiser on behalf of Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. A freewill offering will be taken during the concert and dessert hour will follow in the Good Shepherd Hall. For more information, call Christine Henthorn at (217) 370-2398.

What a surprise Jr. and Sue Miller got Sunday morning when all seven of Jr’s kids and several grandkids and great-grandkids showed up to attend church with them on Sunday at Chambersburg Christian Church! The group also enjoyed lunch and cake at the home of Chris and Jessi Weatherby and children in Perry later.
