On Saturday morning, the Calhoun/Brussels Warriors won with a beatdown given to the North Greene Spartans. by a tally of 70-6. It was the homecoming game for Calhoun High School’s (CHS) Warriors and the team did not disappoint.
“We had a great week of practice. We came out and played well. Our offense was clicking and we did some nice things on special teams,” Head Football Coach Aaron Elmore said. “ Our defense was solid throughout the game. We had 3 int’s, two forced fumbles and a scoop and score. It was a good team effort and win. Every player on the team got in the game and got to contribute. Overall it was a good homecoming game.” The Warriors now possess a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Beardstown on Friday, Oct. 15.
