Jameson Noble was methodical Friday at the Illinois High School Associations’s state golf tournament Bloomington at Prairie Vista Golf Course. Noble, a sophomore at Pittsfield High School, shot a 41/52 for a 93 Friday and did not qualify for Saturday’s competition. His coach, James Feldspauch, said Noble had a great season overall and “most likely surprised a lot of people with his game. He is a very even keel and an extremely fun player to watch. He should be proud.” Noble was the lone golfer from Pike County to make it to state.
