The Main Street of Hardin, Ill was a very popular place to be Wednesday, Oct. 6. The town kicked off their first Main Street Shopping event which was also the first vendor event held at the Rastello Room. The event was held from 4-8 p.m. and people started walking inside just minutes before.
Eight vendors set up their tables and racks around the room with various things to offer their community. The smell of pulled pork nachos filled the room as people came in with large bowls of them from BlueRidge Farms 4-Square Market.
Sept. 25 was the Rastello Rooms official grand opening event however, a ribbon cutting ceremony was done around 6 p.m. Cyndi Kamp said that Main Street Shopping will be an event held every Wednesday night from during the same time slot until Dec. 15. She hopes this will be something they will be able to do again next year as well.
