Two unrelated traffic stops on the same day in Pleasant Hill resulted in three arrests for methamphetamine another drug related offense.
The Pike County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop Oct. 4, at 7:28 p.m., on a 1998 Mazda on South Main Street, Pleasant Hill.
Subsequent to an investigation the driver, Lisa M. Dempsey, 50, of Louisiana, Mo.was arrested on the following charges:unlawful possession of methamphetamine,unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of hypodermic syringes, unlawful possession of adult-use cannabis in a motor vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol (driver), loud exhaust.
A passenger, Jarred M. Ingram36, of Louisiana, Mo. was arrested on the following charges: unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of hypodermic syringes, unlawful possession of adult-use cannabis in a motor vehicle, Pike County,Ill., warrant for failure to appear.
Both Dempsey and Ingram are lodged in the Pike County Jail.
Later the same evening, at 10:51 p.m. the Pleasant Hill Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of West Quincy Street on a 2014 Chevrolet truck. Following that investigation, the driver, Desirae A. Howland, 36, of Pittsfield, was initially arrested on a Pike County, Missouri, warrant.
Howland was transported to the Pike County Jail where she was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Howland was further charged with the following offenses: unlawful possession of methamphetamine and bringing contraband into a penal institution.
Howland remains lodged in the Pike County Jail.
