The Greenfield-Northwestern Lady Tigers and the Carrollton Lady Hawks, in conjunction with the IHSA, will be playing in their “Volley for the Cure” match next Thursday, Oct. 21, at Greenfield High School. In addition to being a key WIVC match for both teams, they will also be playing to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to “pink out the gym” for the match. Anyone who has purchased the 2021 Pink “FIGHT NIGHT” shirt should wear their shirt to the game to get free admission. There will be a basket raffle, 50/50 drawing, and contests to aid these teams in raising money to donate.
All cancer survivors/fighters will be honored between the JV and Varsity contest, and should sign up at the front door. The JV match begins at 6:15 p.m., with the Varsity match immediately following.
The Lady Tigers are sponsoring “Pink Week” Oct. 18 – 21 in the Greenfield and Northwestern School Districts. Various activities will take place and will be announced at the schools. On Thursday, Oct. 21, all students are encouraged to “Pink Out” and support the Lady Tigers as they raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.
We encourage you all to come out and participate and cheer these ladies on as they “Volley for the Cure!!” Questions or donations – please contact Greenfield-Northwestern Head Coach Tyann Hallock at Greenfield High School, 217-368-2219.
