Debra K. Stevens, age 59, of Woodson, IL passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville, IL. She was born on June 26, 1962 in Pittsfield, IL to Vernon and Kay Phillips Ervin.

Debbie attended school in Chandler, AZ and graduated from Chandler High School in 1980; she was in the top 10 in her class of over 500 students. While in high school she was active in softball and track. She married Richard Stevens in 1982 while he was based at Williams Air Force Base in Chandler, AZ and they welcomed three children into their family. In 1992 Debbie and her children moved back to Illinois to be closer to family. She attended nurses training and used her knowledge over the years working in various nursing homes. She was a Claims Adjuster for Blue Cross Blue Shield at the time of her death. Debbie loved animals, enjoyed helping people, liked to travel and loved to play the lottery. She was a wonderful and loving mother; the best part of her life was her children and grandchildren. Debbie was a devoted daughter who was kind and loving with a wonderful sense of humor and will be deeply missed by her mother.

She is survived by her loving mother, Kay Ervin of Pittsfield, IL; two sons, Matthew (Mari) Stevens of Jacksonville, IL and Brandon Stevens of Pittsfield, IL; one daughter, Stephanie (Nathan) Fuller of Jerseyville, IL; grandchildren, Korbyn Stevens, Logan Stevens, Kaylyn Stevens, Isaac Fuller and Lily Fuller; and one brother, Don Ervin of Pittsfield, IL.

Debbie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leo and Ruth Smith, and Winfred and Freda Ervin; father, Vernon Ervin; and brother, Darryl Ervin.

All services will be held privately with interment at Oakwood Cemetery in Pittsfield. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
