John H. Godar, 91, died at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.  Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey with full military honors.  Memorials may be made to Marquette Catholic High School.
