Carrollton Lions Club presented the Hometown Pride Award for the month of October to Dan and Doug Howland who live at 621 School St. Doug owns Cardinal Lawn Care and along with Dan, created the masterpiece in both the front and back yards of the residence. While the front of the home is what everyone will see when driving by, the real masterpiece is in the back. A peaceful garden area has been created complete with a koi pond stocked with fish and inhabited by a few frogs as well. It is surrounded a cornucopia of different plants and a running fountain as well. At the other end is a bubble fountain that runs all year keeping the squirrels and a stray cat hydrated during the winter months. Numerous plants adorn the back as well.
