■ Tailgate Fish Fry. Friday, Oct. 22, 4-7 p.m. at Four Brothers Bowling Alley. Drive through or eat in. Benefits the PAC
■ Harvest Festival at The Vineyards. Saturday, Oct. 23, 4 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 24, 11 p.m. 21028 Eckert Orchard Rd, Grafton.
■ Treehouse WildLife Center Owl Fest. Oct. 23 and 24 from noon-5 p.m. Come discover Treehouse Wildlife Center’s mission on this fun-filled weekend while enjoying activities for the whole family.
■ Adult Pumpkin Painting Party Where: Jerseyville Public Library. When: On Saturday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Adults, it’s your turn. We need your help painting pumpkins for our Great Pumpkin Hunt. Come to the library and help us paint and we’ll give you some snacks! The pumpkins are small and we just need some cute faces or flowers or colors or whatever you want to paint (even some “scary” ones). All materials are provided – you might just want to wear clothes that can get paint on them if you are messy! We will be hiding them around the downtown area on the day of our Halloween Festival for the children to find, bring to the City Center Park and get a prize.
■ The Hamilton Primary School ol was the first free school in the state of Illinois, and the first integrated school in the United States. They are having a fall festival on Oct. 23 and 24. Outdoor church service at 10:30 a.m. hosted by Otterville Baptist Church. Music throughout the day. School tours, coloring contest, 77 prize raffle drawn at 4 p.m., Baskets raffle drawn at 4 p.m. Food items consist of fried fish, BBQ pulled pork sandwich, hot dogs, bratwurst and desserts. Proceeds used to maintain and renovate the historic school.
■ Riverside Flea Market. When: Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021 at 9 a.m. Where: The Loading Dock at 401 East Front Street, Grafton. The Loading Dock is host to one of the region’s largest flea markets. Guaranteed treasure-hunting fun through a wide selection of antiques, crafts, collectibles and more.
■ Holiday Marketplace First Baptisit Church. Saturday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., First Baptist Church, 200 W. Pearl St., Jerseyville, Holiday Marketplace.
