The Illinois Department of Transportation announces upcoming lane closures on the Joe Page Bridge/IL 100 over the Illinois River. Traffic will be reduced to one lane during the following dates and times, weather permitting:
■ On Oct. 25-29 from 8 a.m.– 4 p.m.
■ On Nov. 1-4 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
These lane closures are necessary to allow IDOT Bridge Inspection personnel to complete routine inspections scheduled for this structure. Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
