EARL AND SHARON LOYD
Earl and Sharon Loyd of Pittsfield celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary over the summer with family and friends at the Senior Citizen Hall in Pittsfield. They were married on July 25, 1971 at the Bethel Christian Church in Louisville, IL. Earl’s parents were Stuart and Helen “Killebrew ‘’ Loyd of Pittsfield. Sharon’s parents were Bill and Vivian Dawkins of Louisville. Sharon came to Pittsfield to teach school and was introduced to Earl by Beck Killebrew (school nurse) at the time. Sharon is a retired school teacher of 35 years from Pikeland School District. Earl joined the Army and served in Vietnam as a combat engineer. He retired after spending his adult years as a grain farmer and raising hogs on the family farm. Earl and Sharon are the parents of Heidi Spouse, Bill Doyle of Pleasant Hill, Tim Spouse, Rhonda of Sherman, and Erin Spouse, Frank Lowry of Chatham. Earl and Sharon are proud grandparents of Ross and Patrick Doyle of Pleasant Hill, Kathryn And Matthew Loyd Of Sherman And Mady And Zak Lowry Of Chatham.
