Hello from Alsey. The weather has cooled off and I am sure glad the storms went north of Alsey. We did get some rain but not like some places. Remember our men and women in uniform and the leaders of our county by keeping them in your prayers. We have a prayer list and everyone who is on this list is included here: Harold Jefferson, Connie Sturgeon, Judy Connon, Josh Cannon, Judy Bigley, Michale Ryan, Karla Cannon Delorese Cannon, Edna Layne, Elma Redmon, JC McClurry family, Chuck Roberts, Brad Fundel, Jennifer Hoots, Brenda Lawson, Lois Hart, Pat Frost, Brenda Pollard, Dorothy Goddair and Cindy Holmes.

The Queen of Hearts drawing at Grand Slam Bar and Grill is in Alsey on Smith Rd. It is every Monday night at 7 p.m. Jackpot is $1400. Tickets are $1 each and it is sponsored by Manyd’s Bark and Whine Dog Rescue.
Movie night is at Alsey Baptist Church on the last Sunday of the month at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
There is a Queen of Hearts drawing at Rose’s Cantina which is located on Main Street in Alsey. It is held every Thursday night at 7 p.m. The jackpot is $1400 and tickets are $1 each. The sponsor for this is by Scott County Dog Rescue.
There will be a November ladies luncheon at Barrow Baptist Church on Nov. 16 at noon. All ladies are welcome.
