Dolan Park, colloquially known as the city park, is brimming with Christmas lights and fun displays that will be sure to attract visitors to the community this holiday season. Passersby will already be able to see the work accomplished by Michael Ward and employees of the City of Jerseyville in anticipation of the upcoming festivities.

Another Christmas tree crowns the City Center Plaza across the street from the Stadium Theatre. With the Stadium’s historic and recently refurbished marquee, which has served as a local landmark for decades, coupled with the glow of the soon-to-be-lit Christmas lights, Jerseyville is set to shine like never before.

A sign displaying “Merry Christmas” sits alongside the road in the city park near one of the pavilions. This will be the second year the park has been dolled up for Christmas, starting last year with the month-long Bright Nights event, which substituted the annual Downtown Country Christmas Festival. This year, event coordinators will build the biggest community-wide show of holiday spirit not seen locally in many years.
