Fire Department Auxiliary hosting soup luncheon Saturday
Hello November, the month to remind us how thankful we are for many blessings in our life. Today think of how blessed you really are, so often we sure don’t think of this. So get up, get out, breath the fresh crisp air and just take it all in!
Pleasant Hill Fire Dept. Ladies Auxillary will be hosting a soup lunch Saturday, Nov. 7 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. (or whenever they sell out) at the fire house. They will be serving chili, vegetable soup, hot dogs and grilled cheese sandwiches. Cost will be a free will donation. Please go and support our volunteer fire crew.
Bernie and Maggie Levy, of rural Pleasant Hill, attended Bernie’s 65-year reunion of Abraham Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, Penn. (class of 1956), held Oct. 16. While in the East, they also visited some of Bernie’s relatives in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as old friends in Connecticut.
The American Legion will be putting up flags in the cemetery Mon, Nov 8 at 9 a.m. and will take them down after Veterans Day, Nov. 15. Anyone available and wishing to help would be much appreciated.
And let us not forget to turn back those clocks late Saturday night before you head to bed.
Happy Birthday to Mr. Larry Hill Nov. 4. Wishing my father-in-law a nice day and many more to come!
