Last year, like so many things because of the COVID-19 pandemic, many Halloween celebrations had to either scale back or cancel their annual costume events. However, this year, Halloween festivities came back in full swing.
The Library staff had their Halloween costume contest on Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Halloween Extravganza and voted on the the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mentions in each category and they were as follows:
■ Infant & Pre-K: Stella S., Scarlet S., Oaklen C. and April D.
■ Grade K-2nd: Patrick S., Karleen B., Nehemiah H.and Lincoln C.
■ Grade 4-6: Jason S., Holly H., Cooper H., Daphne S.
■ Grade 7-Adult: Lilly S., Rachel R., Reese C. and John D.
■ Family/Group Honorable Mention: Huff Family, Crazy Cat Lady
■ Pop Culture: Dougherty Family, Schultz Family, Chandler Family and Flatt Family.
The day was filled not only with a costume contest, but families with their children had a chance to enjoy a scavenger hunt, hayrack rides and plenty of food treats. It was a good day spent by all who came and planning is already in the works for next year’s spooky season.
