Hello from Alsey– cooler temps have arrived, but it is November. I can shiver and wait for April to come.
Remember our men and women in uniform and the leaders of our country in your prayers. Barrow Baptist Church will host their monthly Ladies Luncheon on Nov. 16 at 12 o’clock, noon. All ladies are welcome. Men from Barrow Church will meet each Wednesday at 10 o’clock for refreshments and to solve all problems local and worldwide.
Queen of Hearts Drawing will take place each Monday at 7 p.m. at Grand Slam Bar and Grill (the old grade school building on Alsey Smith Rd.). The drawing is sponsored by Mandy’s Whine and Bark Rescue. Jackpot is $1,400. Tickets are $1 each.
Congratulations to Jessie Rueter Brown on the birth of her daughter, Giana Blair, born Nov. 1 weighing seven pounds, 13 ounces. Grandparents are Rod and Connie Sturgeon of Alsey.
