Many thanks and much gratitude to all our Veterans out there.
The Kampsville American Legion Auxiliary will be hosting a thank you dinner for Veterans and their families at Noon on Veterans Day Nov. 11.
Army Veteran Rob Parameter and his wife Kim made and donated a Patriotic drop box to the Kampsville American Legion Post 1083. The dropbox can be used for anyone to properly dispose of their American Flag once they are damaged. A ceremony will take place once enough flags are collected.
What a wonderful thing for Rob and Kim to do. It is such a great way to give back to this community.
The Hardin American Legion Post 636 and Auxiliary will host its annual Thanksgiving meal for Veteran’s, members and their families and friends on Sunday Nov. 14 at 4 pm. Turkey, Dressing and drinks will be provided.
St. Anslems will be having a Turkey and Ham game night Dec. 4 at St. Ansl Hall. Doors open at 5 games begin at 6. Food and drink will be served. This is to help with the St. Anslems Cemetery Fund.
The Lite Up Kampsville Committee has been working hard on the Veterans Memorial Park. The big tree is up, the shower house, gazebo and memorial plaques are decorated and there are still more great things to come. Santa‘s mailbox is also down there for the little ones to drop their letters in. Anyone still wanting to donate lights please let Marcia Agney, James Palmer, Wade Gibson, Debby Klunk or myself know.
We’ve been busy getting ready for the Kampsville kids Christmas party. Mark your calendar‘s Dec. 19. We currently have a few raffle baskets at The Landing and one at the Bank of Kampsville. We will have lots more at the party. Anyone wanting to donate a basket please get a hold of me.
Happy Birthday Nov. 3 to Virginia Becker, and Lisa Breden and Katrinna Brangenberg on November 7.
Happy Anniversary to Matt and Lynn Heidenreich on Nov. 4.
Congratulations to Grandparents Jane and Dick Hagen and Wes Poore. They got a new granddaughter on Nov. 2. Charley James Poore weighing 8 lbs. and 12 oz.
