Corree Snyders, at the Brussels’ Annual Veterans Day program last Friday, gave thanks to her grandfather for his service.
“I am thankful we are Americans and have Veterans like my grandpa who continue to fight for our liberty and freedom each and every day.
Thank you, grandpa, for serving our country even though it was a tough battle. You were
brave enough to risk your life for your comrades. You gave me the courage to fight through my
battles even though they may not be as intense as yours, but you still give me strength to fight
through everything. Your story has inspired me to risk my life for others around me and to stay
every battle even if it is small. I will always love you each and every day of my strength through every battle even if it is small. I will always love you
Thank you and I am proud of you for doing what you did and I am proud to call you my grandpa.” (Cynthia Haggitt/Calhoun News-Herald)
