Hello from Alsey- We’ve had some cold days and nights lately and a few good ones, but winter is close at hand even if we complain.
Remember our men and women in uniform and the leaders of our country in your prayers. Barrow Baptist Church sponsored a Ladies Luncheon hosted by Judy Cannon and Peggy Clemons on Tuesday. Present to enjoy lunch, Christian fellowship, and games of bingo were Janet Ingram, Carole Wells, Patti Brown, Mary McElfresh, Dorothy Benton, Judy Cannon, and Peggy Clemons. Mary won the door prize and Carole won last bingo. The next luncheon will be Dec. 21. All ladies are welcome.
Queen of Hearts drawing each Monday night at Grand Slam Bar and Grill (the old grade school building) at 7 p.m.. Tickets are $1 each and the jackpot is $1800, sponsored by Mandy Bark and Whine Dog Rescue.
Judy Cannon, Peggy Clemmons and Janet Ingram were guests of Betty Jefferson on Friday evening. Several games of cards and refreshments were enjoyed by all.
Queen of Hearts drawing each Thursday evening at Rose’s Cantina on Main Street in Alsey at 7 p.m. Tickets are $1 and the jackpot is $1900, sponsored by Scott County Dog Rescue.
