St. Mary School is excited to share that their Trivia Night was a huge success.
On Saturday, Nov. 13, twenty-three teams competed in ten rounds answering questions from categories of music, sports, entertainment, and seeds.
“We had a great turn-out for the night. In between each round, attendees had the chance to purchase a poker hand sealed in an envelope. Ten envelopes were sold each round. The player with the best poker hand won fifty dollars and a chance to trade their winnings in for a grand prize,” Rachel Hartmen who organized this year’s fundraiser. “ Grand prize included four St. Louis Cardinals tickets ($500) donated by Willie and Renee Rose.”
Hartman said they had a lot of prizes up for grabs. Some of the other prizes included Casey’s gift cards, Schlafly Brewery tour tickets, Magic House Tickets, Repertory Theater Tickets, Six Flags Tickets, and 54th Street gift certificates.
“No one went home without a prize,” she said. “Cynthia Heffington was the lucky winner who won the 50/50 drawing and donated half of her winnings back,” Hunter said. “Thank you to all the parents and Brussels Legion members who helped work this event. This event brought in $3, 800 for our school.”
