Damage to the exterior of the Walgreens parking lot from an accident on Nov 22, which caused two people to be transported by ambulance to Jersey Community Hospital.
Sometimes motorists make mistakes as they are driving down the road and, unfortunately, accidents happen. On Nov 22, at 1:18 p.m. one such accident occurred at Walgreens, causing damage to the building, signs and parking lot barriers.
“The truck was attempting to brake, but instead of braking, the driver hit the gas pedal. They went too fast for conditions there by Walgreens and caused an accident,” Chief Brad Blackorby of the Jerseyville Police Department said. “The driver hit a person and both the victim, along with the driver, were taken by ambulance to Jersey County Hospital. There were no serious injuries.”
