As a new extension of the Illinois Junior Chamber here in Calhoun County, the Jersey Calhoun Jaycees are eager to get out and help the community. This Christmas they are organizing a Calhoun 50/50 Christmas Tree Contest and would like to invite businesses to participate.
How does it work? They ask that businesses set up a Christmas Tree and decorate it however they like and will be competing with other local businesses to win votes for the best tree. The community will vote for trees, starting on Dec. 1 and ending on Dec. 31. On Jan. 1, 2022, the Jaycees will announce the winning tree of the contest and the winner of the 50/50 for that tree.
The funds raised will be split evenly between a ticket winner and the organization represented by the winning tree.
