News from Barrow Baptist Church and Pastor Mancel Day. We are handicap accessible. Service times are 9:30 a.m. Sunday school, followed by 10:30 a.m. morning worship with nursery service and kids church available. Everyone is welcome to either or both services.
On Sunday, Dec. 5 we had 20 attending Sunday school and 27 attending morning worship.
Remember our men and women in uniform and the leaders of our nation in your prayers. Others to remember include Junia Day, Lois Hart, Judy Caskey, Judy Cannon, Peggy Clemons, Bob Krempasky, Madisyn Smith, Debbie Grable, Kristy Gilmore, Steve Gilmore, Eric Combs, Shari Selleck, Eric Murphy, Jeanne Coates, Gary Coates, Art Rogers, Steve Hart, Doug Norris, JoAnn Seymoure, Karla Cannon, Delores Cannon, Carol Crotchett, Tara Dawdy, Jessica Andrews, Jared Andrews, Bronya Sanders, Mary Steele Lowe, Don & Janet Stucker, Gina Graham, Rich Icide, Jennifer Hoots, Owen Baird, Brayden Allen, Dalton Mitchell, Kelsey Arnold, Samuel Jones, Betty Smith, Journee Vinyard, and the families of Cindy Holmes, Gary Harbison, Keith Wells, Ruby Whorten, and Harold Jefferson.
Happy birthday wishes go out to Hunter Carriger Dec. 12. There are no anniversaries to report.
Upcoming events include our Christmas Program Dec. 19th at 6 p.m, Ladies Luncheon Dec. 21st at noon, Christmas Eve service Dec. 24th at 5 p.m. and New Year’s Eve party Dec. 31st at 6 p.m.
Dec. 18th Gates to Glory church on US 67 N going to Jacksonville is having a drive-thru Nativity from 5 to 8 p.m. if you are out and about looking at Christmas lights.
During morning worship Rich Caskey sang “On the Wings of a Dove.”
A nice group attended our Family Christmas party Friday night. Games were played and pizza, salad and desserts were enjoyed.
