Christmas in Calhoun is this Saturday, Dec. 11. The festival is held down by the river. There will be games, raffles and prizes. Local food and retail vendors will be there. What a great day to come together and celebrate the holidays with family and friends. Shop for last minute Christmas gifts with all the wonderful local vendors. Kids can get their picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus or the Calhoun Royalty. Local businesses and organizations will be providing ornament making, cookie decorating, Letters to Santa, etc.
Hardin Presbyterian Church will be doing ornament making with the kids. Calhoun County Health Department will be available with their Letters to Santa mailbox. Big John’s will be selling a seasonal special drink. Calhoun High School’s National Honor Society will be selling chicken and dumplings. CHS Cheerleaders will have hot cocoa and cookie decorating. Calhoun’s FFA will have chili and hot dogs for sale. Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will have hot cocoa. Emma’s Cupcakes will be on site selling cupcakes. Joan Roach will be providing face painting. Illinois Rural Electric will be available with fiber info.
In addition to the onsite vendors, Blue Ridge Market will have food available and the Rastello Room is doing holiday canvas painting (sign up on their FB). Come spread Christmas cheer with us! At 2 p.m. there will be pictures with Santa, Christmas carols sung by Calhoun Entertainment Company, and Calhoun royalty will be making an appearance.
