Jersey County Clerk and Recorder Pam Warford, in partnership with Fidlar Technologies, has announced a new service for our local veterans, known as Honor Rewards. Through this free program, veterans can sign up online to receive an Honor Rewards Card, which qualifies them for discounts or other promotions at participating businesses in our community. The service is being made available at no cost to the county.
“To sign up, all a veteran needs to do is visit www.honorrewards.com, click on Jersey County IL, and fill out the form with some details about when they served and with what branch of the Armed Forces. If someone prefers to apply in person, they may visit our office during business hours and we will help them get signed up,” said Warford “After signing up, a veteran can expect to receive their Honor Rewards ID card in the mail within a couple of weeks.”
Local businesses and retailers can participate in the service by contacting the Jersey County Recorder’s Office, or by using the Sign-Up link on www.honorrewards.com.
By participating, their business name will be listed on the Honor Rewards website for Jersey County, provided to veterans who receive the Honor Rewards card, and also be mentioned in email updates to current Honor Rewards card holders. In addition, participating businesses will receive a sticker to display on their door or window and other materials to promote their involvement.
“It was our intention to launch this program for Veterans Day, but we experienced some unexpected delays,” Warford noted. “But the program is up and running now, and we are excited to get started. We already have some businesses and veterans signed up!”
