Timothy R. Swartz, 34, Kinderhook is facing multiple traffic violation after an accident Saturday, Nov. 27 at 8:04 p.m. on State Highway 96 in New Canton. A unnamed passenger on the vehicle was injured but no detail were provided.
According to information provided by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, Swartz has been charged with aggravated driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, no valid registration, failure to reduce speed, operation of a motor vehicle on a highway and failure to report accident to police.
Swartz was transported to the Pike County Jail where he was lodged pending a court appearance.
