Lady Hawks fall to Brown County

The Carrollton Lady Hawks played host to Brown County Monday night where they felt the bitter sting of the Lady Hornets falling 52-39.
The Lady Hawks actually outscored Brown County in the second half of the game 29-24, but the damage was done in the first half where they put up only 10 points – 3 in the first quarter and 7 in the second. Brown County, on the other hand, outscored the Lady Hawks in the first half by 15.
Leading the scoring for the Lady Hawks was Lauren Flowers with 13 points coming from four field goals and 5 free-throws. Flowers shot 90 percent from free-throw line making 5 out of 6 attempts.
Sophie Pohlman scored 12 points on 5 field goals and two-free-throws, shooting 100 percent from the line.
Paige Henson got on the board with 8 points from three field goals and a pair of free-throws while Graci Albrecht chipped in 4 points and Lauren Walker rounded out the scoring with 2.
With the loss, the Lady Hawks move to 5-2 overall.
