The Barry United Methodist Women will have Rada Cutlery for sale Saturday, Dec. 11, from 2-6 p.m.at the Barry Apple Festival building on Bainbridge Street.

Carl and Wanda Blacketer recently returned from a trip to Colorado Springs, Colo., at the home of their daughter and family Carlina and David Welge and Erik. Their youngest son and family, Timothy and Kirsten Blacketer, Dylan, and Evelyn of Cheyenne, Wyo., also arrived at the Welge home to all enjoy Thanksgiving together.
There was a nice small gathering Tuesday evening, Nov. 30, at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Griggsville for a pastors’ appreciation and harvest meal and fellowship. The pastors and wives that were there were Daniel and April Myers, Gary and Pam Dice, and Terry and Judy Dees. Everyone enjoyed the food and visiting.
Friday evening, Dec. 3, Rena Waddell of Louisiana, Pat Heembrock of Colorado, Crystal Lewis of Mt. Sterling, and Wyvetta Davis of New Salem all met at Nucci’s for supper and lots of visiting.
Cleve and Susanne Curry enjoyed lunch with friends at Jacksonville Saturday, Dec. 4, followed by the Jax Symphony’s outstanding Christmas program at Illinois College Rammelkamp Chapel. Cleve played in the viola section in the concert. Afterwards the Curry’s joined Justin and Joelle’s family in Winchester for the community Christmas parade with hundreds of lights on several entries. Susanne said it was very interesting and pretty with all the lights, and lots of candy for the children.
