Donate clothing and hygeine products to JWCC for those in need and especially the delight in the little ones eyes and smiles. This makes one’s heart so warm to just soak up all the wonder of the season.
The Rotary Club of Pike County and the John Wood Southeast Education Center Rotary Club are sponsoring the Pike County School Clothing and Hygiene Product Drive now through Dec. 10. Items will be distributed to the local schools prior to the winter break. These items can be dropped off at JWCC Education Center.
Congratulations to Jim Gay, of Rockport, who was recognized for his lifetime achievements on behalf of agriculture and Farm Bureau with the Eagle Award. This was at the Illinois Farm Bureau convention this past weekend. Remarkable achievement!
Happy 72nd Birthday to Shirley Doyle, she will be celebrating her big day Friday, Dec. 10.
